On July 29th, friends and neighbors gathered to celebrate Mary’s campaign for Ward 6 City Council at Cafe Christo on Belmont Ave. Residents gathered to enjoy a delicious meal and excellent company. The conversations flowed from new street lamps to expanding Springfield housing. Residents chatted with School Committee member Chris Collins, Springfield City Council At-Large candidate Nicole Coakley, and local business owner and community leader against gun violence Juanita Batchelor. The amazing food and good cheer was so appreciated by all. A special thank-you to all the volunteers who helped set up decorations, welcomed people as they came in, and helped tidy up afterwards! This was an incredible event, filled with everything that makes Ward 6 in Springfield great: excellent company and fresh, practical ideas!
